Attention high school teachers of Multilingual Language Learners and English Learners! This is a space just for you. It is a space with ready-made ESL lesson plans, instructional strategy know-how and practice, support with advocating for your multilingual students, and a community to meet with and ask questions whenever you want.
As teachers, we...
May have limited time to craft our ESL lesson plans we want, or we may be new teachers and would love to see how someone else does their lessons.
Can get so busy during the school year that we don't have the time to learn new strategies to improve our practice.
May also struggle, especially if there aren't many ESL/ELD teachers in our school or district, with the support to advocate for our students in their content classes.
Check out some videos of my lesson plans in the link above! It will take you to my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Most of my lesson plans have a video preview that you can check out!
There is a way to feel confident in your lesson plans, strategies, and student advocacy by having a community and a coach to support you throughout the year. Having access to this support system will take off some of the load that we feel as teachers while also strengthening and growing our practice.
My Multilingual Mentor High School Teacher Membership has your back! We are here to serve you to help your year feel easy-peasy.
My Story
As a new teacher in 2010, I was thrown into a public high school that had a bad reputation. I had no idea what I was doing. None. I wasn't even shown how to access the curriculum, had no books, no supplies. It was in short, a nightmare. I was supposed to have a mentor but I never met this person the whole year. I only met her when I had to get her signature for our "mentorship". That's why I am passionate about helping other teachers, new or seasoned, in the field of ESL/ELD/ENL/EAL/MLLs (add your preferred acronym here!;).
Now, I support teachers and coaches in my district as well as through this membership. Learn more below to see if it's a good fit for you!

Testimonials
You have been a huge help to me this year. -Stephanie
I appreciate all the great information you provide! I'm new to high school and new to ESL so the work you share is invaluable! -Greta
I am a brand new ELL teacher. I have taught elementary for 25 years and now teach ESOL in the high school setting. This was a huge change for me. My MLL Mentor has been so helpful to me in figuring out how to plan for my ELs. So much is offered with the membership that I cannot pick just one. Thanks to My MLL Mentor I am not drowning! -Stephanie
I love Susan. She’s so easy to talk to, and truly made time to help and discuss further things I did not understand. She’s so knowledgeable and sweet about her approach and I trust her guidance. She’s always going to be a resource I go to. -Monica
This is my second year teaching ELL (I teach K-12). Susan’s lessons have always been very well received by my secondary students. I am learning a lot from the resources she provides. -Eva
