As a new teacher in 2010, I was thrown into a public high school that had a bad reputation. I had no idea what I was doing. None. I wasn't even shown how to access the curriculum, had no books, no supplies. It was in short, a nightmare. I was supposed to have a mentor but I never met this person the whole year. That's why I am passionate about helping other teachers, new or not.
Now, I am an instructional coach that helps teachers and other coaches through coaching cycles to help develop their practice and support them in any way I can. That's why I created this course- to give other teachers a solid foundation on ESL teaching strategies so they can take all of the guesswork out of wondering what recommended strategies look like for teaching their students.
